Catholic League Having Problem With Kate Upton's 'Nun Bikini'

Catholic League said "The Three Stooges" gave them a reason to think that Hollywood glorifies jokes on Catholicism. On Thursday, April 12, the organization slams the new 20th Century Fox movie for including a scene where swimsuit model Kate Upton, playing Sister Bernice, wears a "nun bikini".

The organization's president Bill Donohue said in a statement, "In the 1950s, Hollywood generally avoided crude fare and was respectful of religion. Today it specializes in crudity and trashes Christianity, especially Catholicism. Enter 'The Three Stooges'. The movie is not just another remake: It is a cultural marker of sociological significance, and what it says about the way we've changed is not encouraging."

Upton's character, who also wears a large rosary over her neck, is not the only problem that Catholic League has an issue on. The organization also criticizes the name of Larry David's character, Sister Mary-Mengele, which is a nod to the late Nazi Josef Mengele.

Furthermore, Donohue criticized David's comments during his Wednesday appearance on "Conan". Donohue said, "He said to Conan O'Brien that dressing as a nun in the film makes it easy to understand why nuns are 'so mean'. He explains: 'You know, the outfits might have something to do with that. Forget about the fact that they never have sex. If you give me a chance of no sex or having to wear that outfit the rest of my life, I would definitely take the no sex.' "

Fox has responded through its rep, saying, "The movie, in keeping with the spirit of the original TV show and its stars, is a broad, slapstick comedy. As the Stooges have proved over time, laughter is a universal medicine. The nuns that Mr. Donohue alludes to, are in fact, caring, heroic characters in the movie, albeit within the framework of a very broad comedy."

The spokesperson continued, "And as far as the nun attire, I think we did the audience a favor by letting Kate Upton wear the nun-kini rather than Larry David - it could have gone either way. We invite you to see the movie and decide for yourselves." The movie opens in U.S. on Friday, April 13.

Brad Pitt Is Officially Engaged to Angelina Jolie, Designs Her Diamond Ring

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are finally taking their relationship a step further after seven years together. Shortly after The Hollywood Reporter (THR) claimed that the sparkler Jolie was seen wearing at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) was an engagement ring, Pitt's manager confirmed the happy news.

On Friday, April 13 afternoon, Cynthia Pett-Dante said in a statement that the Hollywood power couple are indeed engaged. "Yes, it's confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy," she told the press, adding that no wedding date has been set just yet. The manager added that it was the "Moneyball" actor who "designed the ring."

Pitt collaborated with jewelry designer Robert Procop to make the engagement ring. Procop himself told THR, "Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina's hand."

The jewelry designer went on to dish, "Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality."

Jolie herself was photographed sporting the huge rock on Wednesday, April 11 night. At the time, the "In the Land of Blood and Honey" director checked out LACMA's Chinese Galleries with Pitt and their 8-year-old son, Pax. The pair has five other children together, 10-year-old Maddox, 7-year-old Zahara, 5-year-old Shiloh and 3-year-old Knox and Vivienne.

Back in January, Pitt admitted that their six children put the pressure on them to make it official. In an interview on "CBS Morning News", he told Lee Cowan, "We're getting a lot of pressure from the kids. It means something to them." He added at the time, "We will [get married] someday, we will. It's a great idea. 'Get mommy a ring.' 'Okay, I will, I will.' "

Kendall Jenner Gets Provocative in Bikini Photo Shoot

Kendall Jenner has taken some stunning bikini photos that show her looking significantly older than her years. The younger sister of Kim Kardashian recently struck provocative poses in various two-piece swimsuits for French fashion magazine, FLAVOR, and on Friday, April 13, she shared the pictures on her blog.

Attaching 9 pictures from the photo shoot, the 16-year-old model gushed, "I am soooo excited to show you guys these shots from my FLAVOR magazine shoot!!" She went on to explain that the shots were taken by photographer Sinisha Nisevic at the famous Goldstein House in Beverly Hills, which is featured in such movies as "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and "The Big Lebowski".

On the blog, Kendall also dished on one particular photo that she posted. "The last pic in the gallery is me and James Goldstein at his John Lautner house," she wrote. "Mr. Goldstein is a famous Lakers fan who is always in this designer signature look. This shoot was the first one done on his new tennis court overlooking the city! How amazing is that view!?"

Sharing similar excitement was Kendall's sister, Kim. The estranged wife of Kris Humphries wrote on her own blog, "Just wow!! Kendall just released her pics from her FLAVOR magazine shoot on her blog and they are soooo beautiful. I love the whole look with the slicked back hair, the gorgeous swimwear and the incredible views from the Goldstein House. So proud of you, little super model!"

Daniel Craig Promises James Bond Will Be 'Much Softer and Nicer' in 'Skyfall'

Daniel Craig has opened up about what kind of James Bond he will tackle this time in "Skyfall". The 44-year-old British actor shared that in the 23rd movie, agent 007 will be much "softer" than the one he portrayed in both 2006's "Casino Royale" and 2008's "Quantum of Solace".

Speaking to MTV News in a recent on-set interview, Craig said of his character, "He's much softer and nicer now. It's just different... hopefully, it's different again from that ['Casino Royale']." The blue-eyed thesp went on explaining, "He was a story to telling 'Quantum' that we had to finish off and round off. He was hurt and broken-hearted; he's not so broken-hearted. He's on the mend; he's feeling much better."

Instead of seeing Bond as a heroic man, Craig branded the flamboyant spy a "flawed character." He said, "His attitude towards women and his attitude towards the world is very dubious, but I think that's interesting, and I think if you throw him into a situation with really strong characters and you watch them battle it out, then I think it just makes for interesting watching."

The husband of Oscar winner Rachel Weisz also explained that Bond's relationship with Judi Dench's M is "a very important part of the film." He added, "They're very close, and they kind of basically go on an adventure together. She gets out in the field. Judi, she'll tell you, she usually films most of her stuff in the studio like this while we're all off in sort of some wonderful location, and she gets to go with us this time."

During the chat, Craig additionally noted that "Skyfall" will also highlight Bond's intriguing relationship with Javier Bardem's villainous character Raoul Silva. "There's also the very important relationship he has with the bad guy in the movie. We kind of got Javier to come in and do that which, again, which just gives the whole film a sort of richer content," said Craig.

Due to arrive in the U.S. on November 9, "Skyfall" follows Bond as his loyalty to M is tested when her past comes back to haunt her. When MI6 comes under attack, the British spy must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. The much awaited film is directed by Sam Mendes.

Words are, Jennifer Lopez is going to launch her first-ever world tour later this year. The female judge of "American Idol" reportedly will embark on more than 60 tour dates and kick it off in South America in June after the current season of the singing competition completes.

"J.Lo and her team have blocked out more than a month of their schedules, beginning May 4, to start intense rehearsals, each day, at a sound stage in the Los Angeles area," a source told Celebuzz. "This will be a huge tour, complete with a lavish set, full band and team of dancers."

An official announcement is expected to be made sometime soon. Rumor has it, J.Lo's camp has tentatively scheduled a press conference to be held on Monday, April 16.

J.Lo recently released a new single "Dance Again" which reunites her with "On the Floor" rapper Pitbull and producer RedOne. "We had a great chemistry the last time, and it was like 'We're going to have to do something again'," she once said.

Chris Hemsworth Dishes On Viking-Influenced Asgard in 'Thor 2'

After wrapping "The Avengers", Chris Hemsworth is gearing up to film "Thor 2" in August. While plot details of the sequel are still kept secret, the Australian actor recently opened up that in the follow-up film, Thor's homeland Asgard will likely have more Viking-inspired touch with newly tapped director Alan Taylor serving behind the lens.

Speaking to Slash Film, the older brother of Liam Hemsworth said that Asgard will have "big waterfalls and mountains and a Viking influence, where the Norse mythology kind of grew from." He added, "Having that in Asgard is going to make it all the more special and that's what Alan wants to bring to it. I think that would be the new aspect to this one."

The "Cabin in the Woods" actor added that he has already read the script and admitted he is excited about shooting the "Thor" sequel. He said, "I have read a script and we start shooting in August. I met with Alan Taylor a couple of months ago and Natalie Portman and I and Alan and a couple of Marvel guys and it was hugely exciting."

With Taylor replacing Kenneth Branagh as the helmer, Hemsworth believed that the next God of Thunder movie is going to be more exciting. He said, "Ken did such a wonderful job and, with scheduling or what have you, he didn't end up doing this one, but I'm a big fan of the 'Game of Thrones' series, which is Alan's latest work, and I think that is what's exciting about the second one."

The 28-year-old thesp said that Taylor would make the sequel "sort of more tangible" and have "a more organic feel to Asgard and that world." He added, "I think the science fiction element to 'Thor'... the danger is it falls a little bit into the world of it's 'tough to throw a light to'."

"Thor 2" is written by Rodat, who penned the original script from Don Payne. The anticipated Marvel superhero movie has been scheduled to make its way out to the U.S. theaters on November 15, 2013.

Rihanna Cuts Interview Due to 'Frustrating' Questions About Her Love Life

After giving a U.K. reporter a cold shoulder for asking her about Ashton Kutcher romance rumor, Rihanna once again showed her irritation for being quizzed about her love life. Instead of dodging the question like the last time, she abruptly ended the interview after previously expressing her dismay.

The chat that took a "controversial" turn happened on Australian show "Sunrise" where Riri made an appearance to promote her newly-released movie "Battleship". It began with the discussion about her career in the big screen including a question about what she would choose between singing and acting.

"I don't see why I can't do both," the Petty Officer depicter answered. The Bajan songstress then added, "If I love both, then I'll do great at both. I love music, and after my first experience with movies, I have such a great time and I can't wait to do more."

Keen to portray Whitney Houston in a biopic, she said it would be an emotional experience. "She's been someone that I've looked up to for so long," she gushed. "Her music is something that I've been very close to, so I guess it would be fulfilling as well as ... a lot of pressure."

The "We Found Love" hitmaker later became annoyed when the host Natalie Barr switched the topic into personal matters. "[It's] very frustrating," the Grammy winner said when asked if she minded the romance rumors that were surrounding her. "Almost as frustrating as being asked about it."

"What's the point?" Riri asked the host back. When the interviewer tried to reason that people were interested in such thing, she replied, "They are. And they're interested in a lot of things - a lot of things that don't matter. Or shouldn't." According to the interviewer, the actress ended the chat after that.

Faith, who is yet to be cast, has been hitting the road with various bands for years and is considered a muse by some elite artists, the site further spills. She has a fondness for sex, drugs and rock and roll, but at the same time, she remains quite religious.

Spidey's Origin Will Be Changed in Marc Webb's 'Amazing Spider-Man' Movies

"The Amazing Spider-Man" will unveil a different origin of the web-slinging vigilante that has never been shown in any movies before, director Marc Webb has promised. Speaking to MTV News, the filmmaker opened up that the new Spidey's background story won't be contained in just one movie.

Marc explained that his version of Spider-Man film will put the disappearance of Peter Parker's parents under the spotlight. "I wanted to give the audience something new, so that started off with getting underneath the parent's story, which will unfold over probably a few movies. We don't totally wrap up that story in this first movie. It's sort of an ongoing mystery. That was something that was interesting to me," he dished.

The director went on promising that the untold story of Peter's parents will not be the only magnet in the upcoming film. There will be "obligations to the canon, in terms of Uncle Ben and the spider-bite, but the conditions under which those things happen are very different."

"This is probably a reveal, but there is no wrestling match in this movie," said Marc. "The character is evolving in a different way. It's about finding a balance between iconic elements of the 'Spider-Man' mythology - like Uncle Ben's death transforms him emotionally - but it happens in a different way."

Elaborating furthermore on his approach to the film, the director continued, "There are elements that we were very conscious of. But it all emanated from [the idea of] this kid who got left behind by his parents many, many years before. I thought that was interesting enough for me to explore."

Speaking about the radioactive spider that gives Peter a superpower as described in the comic, Marc gave a little hint that in his movie the story could be different. "He's bitten by a spider, but maybe it's not a radioactive spider. Or maybe it is! You'll have to see," so he teased.

Opening wide in the U.S. on July 3, "The Amazing Spider-Man" stars Andrew Garfield as the titular superhero, Emma Stone as his leading lady Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as the villainous Lizard, and Martin Sheen as Captain George Stacy.

Taylor Swift Has the Hots for One Direction's Harry Styles

Rumor has it, Taylor Swift has a secret crush on one of One Direction's members. According to a Daily Mail source, the "Safe & Sound" crooner is smitten by Harry Styles. The twosome reportedly met at the backstage of Kids Choice Awards, the Los Angeles event during which the boyband performed and she received Big Help Award.

"Taylor is a huge One Direction fan and was excitedly bopping along to the boys when they performed onstage. Then she was chatting to Justin and told him how hot she found Harry," the source claimed. Afterwards, the 22-year-old country music crooner allegedly made Justin Bieber "promise not to go on the record about it."

About Swift's meeting with Harry, the source said, "Taylor went backstage and was hanging around by the group's dressing room and said a quick 'hello' to the guys." The insider continued, "She started dramatically fanning herself afterwards making out like she was overwhelmed which got everyone laughing."

Regardless of the rumor, Harry appreciated the supports coming from the likes of Swift. Recalling the KCAs performance, he gushed to MTV, "I feel good. I think the people who were getting involved are all great performers, so for them to enjoy our performance was nice. ... Katy Perry was there, Selena Gomez. There was Ashley Tisdale. Taylor Swift was dancing as well."

Another young star who loves One Direction is Demi Lovato. While Swift's crush on Harry hasn't been confirmed, the former "Sonny with a Chance" star has publicly gushed about Niall Horan on an interview with MSN Music. "He's so adorable!" she said before tweeting, "And I totally just downloaded some One Direction songs ... #guilty."

18-year-old Harry was rumored to date 19-year-old Lily Halpern, but a representative for the British boyband was quick to deny it, "Never heard of her before; Harry is single." As for Niall, he reportedly was turned down by a Scottish actress named Freya Mavor.

Disgraced Miss USA Rima Fakih Received Plea Deal

Miss USA Rima Fakih stood trial on Wednesday, April 11 for her DUI case following her arrest in Detroit on December 3, 2011 morning. She pled no contest to misdemeanor driving while visibly impaired and struck a deal with the Michigan prosecutors to drop the charges.

However, a no contest plea is treated as admission of guilt which will contribute to her sentencing, scheduled to take place on May 9. If found guilty, she faces a maximum of 93 days in jail. After the Wednesday trial, Fakih released a statement saying, "You learn, you pay your price for making mistakes and you move on. I'm very happy I can put this behind me."

Fakih's original charges are drunken driving, careless driving and having an open container of alcohol, all misdemeanors. Upon her arrest, police said that Fakih did not admit to drinking that night but was disoriented and slurring her speech. When tested, her blood alcohol level was more than the twice the legal limit. There was reportedly a half-empty bottle of wine on the floorboard behind the driver's seat.

Catwoman Oozes Inner Lady Killer in New 'Dark Knight Rises' Picture

A brand new photo of Catwoman in "The Dark Knight Rises" has been unleashed. The image presents a closer look at Anne Hathaway in the super-tight catsuit, complete with its iconic mask and sexy thigh-high boots. She is pictured oozing her inner villainess as she gives a deadly stare while carrying a gun in her hand.

Hathaway's Catwoman has recently been featured on the cover of Entertainment Weekly's April issue along with Christian Bale's Batman. During a chat with the magazine, Hathaway opened up about how she has undergone a drastic physical transformation to portray Catwoman a.k.a Selina Kyle.

"I had to physically transform," said Hathaway. "Chris sat me down at the beginning and said, 'Joseph Gordon-Levitt did all of his own fighting in 'Inception'. That one zero-gravity fight? He trained for two months.' I basically left his office and went to the gym and just came out about five minutes ago."

Director Christopher Nolan added that in his vision, Catwoman is a "shift cipher, calloused survivor, and world-class criminal." He said, "She has a very strong way of protecting herself and those she cares about, which implies an underlying darkness."

In the chat, Nolan also spoke up about his approach to lead villain Bane, explaining that the terrorist leader "represents formidable physical strength, combined with absolute evil of intention."

Tom Hardy, who tackles the part of Bane, chimed in as commenting on the "Bane's muffling voice" issue that stole the attention a few months ago. "It's a risk, because we could be laughed at - or it could be very fresh and exciting," he said. The English actor added that the audience shouldn't get "too concerned about the mumbly voice."

"The Dark Knight Rises" has just received a PG-13 rating from the MPAA due to its "intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language." Also starring Marion Cotillard, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, the much awaited DC Comics movie will open wide in the U.S. on July 20.

'American Idol' Top 7 Recap: Elise Nails a Cover of Lady GaGa's 'You and I'

After bringing music from the 1980s in last week's episode, "American Idol" finalists delivered their takes on songs from this decade. For their performances on Wednesday, April 11, the Top 7 contestants got some advice from Jimmy Iovine and guest mentor Akon.

Skylar Laine chose a song from past "Idol" contestant Kellie Pickler, singing "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You" while playing a guitar. "This song is so in your wheel house," Randy Jackson commented as Jennifer Lopez praised her perfect pitch. Steven Tyler added, "It just goes to prove the crows may crow, but the hens deliver the goods."

Colton Dixon was up next with Rihanna's "Love the Way You Lie". He didn't like when Jimmy said, "It's you against Phil," so he's determined to make his performance a game-changer. J.Lo liked how the Tennessee boy made the song his own. Steven said the performance was perfect, but added, "Colton hasn't found his top yet."

Jessica Sanchez chose a less popular song, Jazmine Sullivan's "Stuttering", but once she sang it, everyone in the room would always remember her performance. "That was superb, at the highest degree. You slayed the biggest song of the night," Randy gushed. Steven and J.Lo also loved it, with the latter advising her to "show us something we've never seen" next week.

Joshua Ledet, who turned 20 on April 9, got a birthday message from Fantasia Barrino before his performance. He then sang Bruno Mars' "Runaway Baby" and brought the judges on their feet as Randy loved his look, his voice, and his performance that night.

Hollie Cavanagh delivered "Perfect" by Pink. Struggling to find the right words to say, J.Lo commented, "I feel you fighting... We'll see how it all pans out." Steven and Randy said it wasn't perfect, but the latter added that "it was a lot better than where you were last week."

Phillip Phillips opted to cover Maroon 5's "Give a Little More". Steven liked that the 20-year-old has evolved to sing more melody each week, but admitted that it wasn't a wow-kind of moment. J.Lo, meanwhile, felt like she'd seen this performance before.

Last but not least, Elise Testone delivered a cover of Lady GaGa's "You and I". She nailed it as Randy shouted, "America, Elise is back!" J.Lo gushed, "There's nobody who can sing like you," while Steven chimed in, "You turned it into genius."

For the duet performances, Phillip and Elise were singing "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye, while Colton and Skylar were once again paired for "Don't You Wanna Stay" by Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson. Additionally, Hollie, Joshua and Jessica teamed up for "Stronger" by Clarkson.

Transgender Women Officially Allowed to Compete at Miss Universe

Thanks to Jenna Talackova, transgender women are now allowed to compete at the biggest beauty pageant. Miss Universe Organization (MUO) announced on Tuesday, April 10 that the decision to include non naturally-born female is in line with their support of "equality for all women".

Talackova was disqualified from the pageant when she submitted the entry form citing "female" while she actually was born "male". The 23-year-old begged the MUO to change the rule, reasoning, "I am a woman. I was devastated, and I felt that excluding me for the reason that they gave was unjust. I have never asked for any special consideration. I only wanted to compete." She has since been granted the wish.

Talackova, who represents Canada in the upcoming pageant and had sex change four years ago, received the support from advocacy group GLAAD who brought the issue up in an aggressive dialogue. "For more than two weeks, the Miss Universe Organization and Mr. Trump made it clear to GLAAD that they were open to making a policy change to include women who are transgender," GLAAD's spokesperson Herndon Graddick said. "We appreciate that he and his team responded swiftly and appropriately."

Graddick added, "The Miss Universe Organization today follows institutions that have taken a stand against discrimination of transgender women including the Olympics, NCAA, the Girl Scouts of America and The CW's America's Next Top Model. At a time when transgender people are still routinely denied equal opportunities in housing, employment and medical care, today's decision is in line with the growing levels of public support for transgender people across the country."

Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe Organization, also released a statement, saying, "We want to give credit where credit is due. And the decision to include transgender women in our beauty competitions is a result of our ongoing discussions with GLAAD and not Jenna's legal representation, which if anything delayed the process. We have a long history of supporting equality for all women, and this was something we took very seriously."

MUO, which is owned by Donald Trump, is now close to finalizing the policy change. It may prompt other beauty pageants to take similar action as it will kick off just in time for the fall 2013 pageant season.

Miley Cyrus' Gluten-Free Diet Encouragement Met With Backlash From Experts

After explaining the real reason behind her recent weight loss, Miley Cyrus encourages her Twitter followers to try a gluten-free diet. A number of dietitians and nutritionists, however, are quick to express their disagreement with one pointing out the downside of such diet for those who are not genuinely allergic to gluten.

Karen Ansel, a registered dietitian and spokeswoman for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, first told Today's Health, "There's absolutely no evidence that a gluten-free diet promotes weight loss." She added, "However, there is data that indicates that following a gluten-free diet can result in a diet that's low in key nutrients - especially iron, zinc and B vitamins such as folate and niacin."

Another registered dietitian Rachel Begun noted, "People who go gluten-free may gain weight if they rely mostly on highly-processed gluten free foods, many of which tend to be higher in fat, calories and sugar than their gluten-containing counterparts." Agreeing to Begun's statement, Ansel chimed in, "Gluten-free foods also tend to lack fiber that fills us up and can help us manage our weight."

Also refusing to encourage gluten-free diet was Dr. David Katz, director of the Yale University Prevention Research Center. "It's a protein that has been in the human diet since the dawn of agriculture," he explained before stating, "I don't endorse cutting gluten as a weight loss strategy. I think it is advisable only for those with genuine sensitivities."

Cyrus urged her fans to try a gluten-free diet after denying rumors she's battling anorexia. Having said that she has "a gluten and lactose allergy" and that gluten is "crapppp", she told one Twitter follower, "everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, phyisical and mental health is amazing! U won't go back!"

Gary Ross Could Still Direct 'Hunger Games' Sequel

As words ran rampant that director Gary Ross has officially signed out of "The Hunger Games" film franchise, Deadline broke the news that the rumors were overblown. According to the showbiz site, the "Seabiscuit" helmer has yet to withdraw from directing "Catching Fire".

Multiple sources close to the production of the sequel film claimed that Ross hasn't formally exited the big film franchise. The 55-year-old moviemaker is still having a family vacation and he couldn't be reached at the moment. The insiders stated that the reports of Ross' withdrawal from the "Hunger Games" sequel are "simply not accurate."

Deadline also noted that the rumors suggesting that Ross tossed away the chance to helm "Catching Fire" due to salary dispute are flawed. The director had lobbied hard to adapt "Hunger Games" trilogy to the big screen and made it the biggest hit of his directing career, and Deadline learned that the filmmaker wouldn't simply leave the franchise given how active he has been in the construction of "Catching Fire".

Since November 2011, Ross and author Suzanne Collins have been working hard to prepare "Catching Fire". The two have tapped Oscar winner Simon Beaufoy to pen the script for the sequel. Another reason why Ross could stay in the franchise is his tight bond with everyone involved in the film, especially the cast members.

Previously, The Playlist reported that Ross has officially bowed out of the franchise and consequently will not direct "Catching Fire". It was said that Ross has expressed his love of the first book by Suzanne Collins but he also has another script written that he likes better. The unknown project reportedly pays better than what he would have earned in the "Hunger Games" sequel.

In "Catching Fire", Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are getting punished for their defiance. They will be forced to compete in a special 75th staging of the Hunger Games, where they must compete against past winners. Bringing back Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth to the cast ensemble, the film is due to open wide in the U.S. on November 22, 2013.

Anne Hathaway Chops Her Hair Super Short for 'Les Miserables' Role

Anne Hathaway has undergone a drastic makeover to support her prestigious role as Fantine in "Les Miserables". The Oscar nominee, who is known for her famous long brown locks, has recently been photographed sporting a super short pixie cut in preparation to portray the iconic character.

The "Rachel Getting Married" actress was spotted stepping out of London's The Box nightclub with fiance Adam Shulman during the wee hours of Sunday morning, April 8. Donning a black long coat and denims, she was seen trying to conceal her new look from the swarming cameramen as she hopped a taxi.

Hathaway arrived in the capital of England to shoot the much awaited musical film. It has recently been rumored that the Emmy-winning actress was putting herself on an extreme crash-diet to portray the starving prostitute Fantine. She was said to be struggling to rapidly lose 16 pounds for the role.

Quickly slamming the report was Hathaway's representative who told E! News that although it is true the actress was undergoing a diet program for the coveted role, she didn't engage in a hardcore diet. "She is losing weight for the part, but not that much," insisted the rep. "Just enough for her to look more frail, as she is playing a dying prostitute."

In "Les Miserables", Hathaway is joined by the likes of Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter. The Tom Hooper-directed movie itself, which is due to hit the U.S. theaters on Decemer 14, centers on the struggle by ex-con Valjean to outrun his past and his relentless pursuer Javert.

Selena Gomez Announces Her New Action Movie Project 'The Getaway'

Selena Gomez is ready to shoot another movie after wrapping "Spring Breakers" in Florida. Sharing a Q&A video for her fans on Saturday, April 7, the former "Wizards of Waverly Place" star announced that she will soon work on an action film called "The Getaway" with Ethan Hawke.

Telling her devotees about her next project, the "Monte Carlo" starlet said that she will do some movies before going back to the studio to record her fourth album. She shared, "I'm doing another movie called 'The Getaway' with Ethan Hawke. It's really, really exciting."

"I go to Bulgaria and then I start filming," so the former Disney darling said of her new film. "It's more of an action movie, which is also different. So we're doing that and then hopefully another movie, but that hasn't really been confirmed yet. Then I'll start working on my fourth album, which will be the best album I'll ever do!"

Plot details of "The Getaway", however, are still scarce. It is unclear whether or not the film is a remake of a 1972 movie of the same title which starred Steve McQueen and Ali MacGrawy, and focused on an ex-con and his wife who try to evade the cops after a robbery goes wrong.

Aside from "Spring Breakers" and the upcoming action film, Selena will next be seen starring opposite Eli Roth in Chilean thriller film "Aftershock". She has also been courted to star in several forthcoming movies such as "Hot Mess", "13 Reasons Why" and "Sky Is Everywhere".

'The Dark Knight Rises' Granted PG-13 Rating for 'Violence and Sensuality'

Christopher Nolan's final Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises", finally got its rating. The MPAA has officially granted the highly anticipated DC Comic film a not so surprising PG-13 rating.

The PG-13 rating was given to the upcoming film due to its "intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language." The granted rating, however, does not indicate that the movie has been completely done. Big movies usually screen well even before the director finishes the technical elements such as visual effects, sound design or color timing.

Both Nolan's previous Caped Crusader movies, 2005's "Batman Begins" and 2008's "The Dark Knight", were also granted the same rating. The first movie secured its PG-13 for "intense sequences of violence and some menace", while the second one got the rating because of "intense action violence, disturbing images, and some thematic elements."

"The Dark Knight Rises" is set eight years after the events in "The Dark Knight". Terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gothan City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, as well as forcing Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent's crimes.

Angelina Jolie Eyeing Role in Ridley Scott's Thriller 'The Counselor'

After her long-time partner Brad Pitt expressed his interest to tackle a minor role in Ridley Scott's "The Counselor", Angelina Jolie is reportedly also circling a part in the high-end thriller. Per Vulture, the "Salt" actress is entering a negotiation to take a small role in the upcoming film.

Details of what character Jolie is eyeing to play are still unclear. It is possible for the A-lister to join Scott's project given that she will not begin filming her latest film, "Maleficent", until late June or early July. Scott himself has scheduled a June start date for his new movie.

Just a few weeks ago, Twitch broke the news that Jolie's partner Pitt has booked an appointment with the veteran English filmmaker to discuss a minor role in "Counselor". Words are, Pitt is eyeing a character named Westray, who is a business associate of the titular counselor. Pitt was initially put in the mix along with Jeremy Renner and Javier Bardem to play the major villain.

"The Counselor", which is described as " 'No Country for Old Men' on steroids", follows a respected lawyer who thinks he can dip a toe in to the drug business without getting sucked down. It is a bad decision and he tries his best to survive it and get out of the desperate situation.

Michael Fassbender, who also worked with Scott in upcoming "Prometheus", has been tapped to star as the male lead. Meanwhile, Pulitzer and Oscar winner Cormac McCarthy has written the original screenplay for the thriller.

This forthcoming movie still hasn't found a major studio to develop it. However, insiders revealed that 20th Century Fox is currently in active disscussions to distribute and possibly co-finance the film.

Just days before that, the "Dreamgirls" actress made her first public appearance since giving birth to show support for her husband.

Pics: Justin Bieber Told by Police to Move His Illegally Parked Car

Despite his worldwide fame, Justin Bieber is still obligated to obey the law. The boyfriend of Selena Gomez found himself being told by a Los Angeles police officer to move his $100,000 Fisker Karma on Easter Sunday, April 8 because it was illegally parked outside shops in Beverly Hills, California.

Bieber was strolling along the streets when he was approached by the cop. At the time, the "Baby" hitmaker was wearing a white jacket, matching T-shirt and baseball cap, a pair of blue jeans and sunglasses. The whole incident was captured by paparazzi's camera, displaying that the officer was all smiles as he explained the situation to the teen singer.

Bieber got his electric sports car, which is customized with chrome paint work, as his 18th birthday gift during a March 1 appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". His manager Scooter Braun said at the time, "We wanted to make sure since you love cars that when you're on the road you are always environmentally friendly and we decided to get you a car that would make you stand out."

Two days before he got caught with the illegal parking, Bieber was spotted taking the vehicle through a Chick-fil-A drive-through in Hollywood. He was joined by his songstress girlfriend. Meanwhile, on Sunday, he wished his fans a happy Easter by tweeting, "Reaching out to loved ones and family...and u guys qualify in that category. so... HAPPY EASTER! #muchlove."

Sultry Photo of Scarlett Johansson Used on Sex Shop's Business Cards

A sexy image of Scarlett Johansson has ended up on business cards of a Spanish-speaking sex shop. Bringing to attention the news in the first place was TMZ, detailing that the adult store using a photo of "We Bought a Zoo" actress in lingerie on its ads was "VIP", which is located in Calexico, California.

When asked about the illegal using of the photo, the store manager told the gossip site, "What does it have to do with the business card? I don't know who Scarlett Johansson is." He further explained, "The owner ordered cards from a company and said we need something with a girl on the card and the company did it."

Johansson herself has recently said that she doesn't consider herself a sex symbol. Discussing the matter with Empire magazine, the actress playing Black Widow in "The Avengers" said, "I don't know, I don't think of myself that way. It's alright for now. I'm convinced that obviously in a couple of years' time it will be somebody else. I won't be as interesting that way."

The ex-wife of Ryan Reynolds went on to note, "I actually have not played that many sexy characters! Of course you could say the characters I played maybe in 'Match Point', maybe in 'The Black Dahlia' [are sexy]. But the characters I play aren't really traditionally sexy, I don't think. I think it's probably a reaction to the fact that I'm curvy and confident about it, maybe."

'Hunger Games' Beats 'American Reunion' and 'Titanic 3D' on Box Office

"The Hunger Games" continues its victorious run on the North American box office. Defending its champion title for three weeks in a row, the famous novel-adapted movie rakes in an estimated $33.5 million this weekend. Dropping only 43% from last week, the survival sci-fi pic collects a total domestic cume of $302.8 million in only 17 days after being released in the U.S. theaters.

Landing on the runner-up spot is "American Reunion", which takes in around $21.5 million on its opening weekend. The latest movie of the "American Pie" series scores a "B+" CinemaScore, while attracting mostly older moviegoers which make up 60% of the ticket buyers.

Though "Reunion", which is made with a budget of $50 million, marks the smallest opening in the "Pie" franchise, Universal Pictures is satisfied enough with the result. The studio's president of domestic distribution Nikki Rocco says, "We're very happy with the worldwide result for 'American Reunion'. Based on the cost, this is going to be a very successful endeavor for Universal."

Another newcomer this week is the 3D re-release of phenomenal 1997 film "Titanic". Opening on the third place, the James Cameron movie collects an estimated $17.3 million. The result, however, is smaller than recent 3D re-release movies, such as "The Lion King" 3D ($30.2 million), "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" 3D ($22.5 million), and "Beauty and the Beast (1991)" 3D (17.8 million).

Megan Colligan, Paramount Pictures president of domestic distribution, hopes that "Titanic" 3D could raise its grossing from good word of mouth. "There's something very special about seeing it again on the big screen," says Colligan. "It's an experience."

Greek myth epic "Wrath of the Titans" drops to the fourth place this weekend. Falling 55% from last week, the $150 million fantasy film collects approximately $15 million for a total cume of $58.8 million after two weeks playing in cinemas. So far, the film couldn't best its predecessor, 2010's "Clash of the Titans", which bagged $110.2 million in only 10 days.

Rounding up the top five is Tarsem Singh's Snow White film "Mirror Mirror" which grabs $11 million, dropping a mild 39% from last week. On its second weekend, the family movie takes in a total domestic cume of $36.4 million, which still doesn't match its $85 million budget.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's Cleavage Digitally Reduced for Magazine

A celebrity's body usually is exaggerated in pictures using technology but in Jennifer Love Hewitt's case, it happens the opposite way. A magazine has reduced the size of her voluptuous breasts after thinking that they are too large for the publication.

Hewitt is the star of Lifetime's new TV series "The Client List". She shot the promotional photos for the sexy drama in a low cut dress which shows big cleavage. The actress' natural double D cup size was then reduced and the dress' neck was pulled up digitally by Entertainment Weekly for their readers. The original picture is still used by the Hollywood Reporter and some billboards across Los Angeles. Interestingly, the official page of the show on Lifetime's website uses the censored photo.

Hewitt has appeared in some sultry promotional efforts for the show. A teaser which was released back in January saw her unbuttoning her shirt to bare the cleavage and dancing seductively with towel-clad guys.

"I just accepted them as a great accessory to every outfit," she once commented on her enviable figure. Speaking of her sexy role as a woman with double identity on "The Client List", she said, "You sort of find your femininity and your strength and your own sexuality in playing a part like this. It's been really fun."

Jennifer Lopez Wishes Casper Smart the Happiest Birthday Ever on Twitter

Jennifer Lopez rarely uses her Twitter to express her love for Casper Smart, but she made an exception for a very special occasion recently. On Friday, April 6, the estranged wife of Marc Anthony gave a shout-out to her younger boyfriend, who also works as her backup dancer, in celebration of his 25th birthday.

The 42-year-old singer wrote on her account, " 'Beau has a birthday we're so glad hope its the happiest birthday Beau ever has...etc.' :) #singingtweet HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Around the same time, her boyfriend also tweeted, "Thank u all so much for the birthday wishes, I really appreciate them and u!!! :)"

Lopez's tweet came around a week after Smart put out a photo of them enjoying a romantic moment together at a beach. The picture posted on Twitter last Friday, March 30 displays the "On the Floor" hitmaker and her boyfriend sitting side by side in matching white shirt as they watched the sun rises together.

The couple began dating shortly after Lopez and Anthony announced their separation after seven years of marriage in July 2011. While the "American Idol" judge stayed silence about their age gap, her backup dancer boyfriend tweeted in January 2012, "Age, status, n opinions of others are irrelevant. Our hearts are endless and our souls infinite."

Details of Kim Kardashian's Low-Key Dinner With Kanye West

Romance rumors refuse to leave Kim Kardashian and Kanye West alone. Just one day after the alleged couple went to see "The Hunger Games" together, they were seen going out again for a low-key dinner. Both PEOPLE and Hollywood Life have details of what's going on during the particular outing.

On Thursday, April 5 night, 31-year-old Kardashian and 34-year-old West spent an evening at Cafeteria, a swanky Chelsea restaurant in New York City. Per PEOPLE, they were joined by three friends, including makeup artist Joyce Bonelli, and shared a plate of fried chicken, waffles and macaroni and cheese.

"They entered through a secret door and dined in Cafeteria's brand new [private dining room] to have some privacy," one source informed the magazine. Offering more details, the source dished on, "Kim and Kanye sat together, and she kept taking pictures of him on her cell phone. It was cute. They had fun, but were very low-key."

Another eyewitness spilled to Hollywood Life that Kardashian and West "requested to sit in the private dining area in the back of the restaurant." The observer added, "They made the staff block it off so no other diners could see them. We get a lot of celebs in here, but they were pretty demanding about maintaining their privacy. It was pretty weird since they've been spotted all over NYC together."

While Kardashian came wearing a creme-colored blouse and sky-high black heels, Hollywood Life's source said the reality star "looked pretty plain" for the dinner, noting that "she wasn't all glammed up like she usually is." The source went on to say, "She seemed really comfortable with him. I saw Kim grab his hand when she was leading him to the back area."

Earlier the same day, Kardashian and West were seen smiling at each other the whole time they were together at FAO Schwartz. According to Life & Style, they played a duet of "Heart and Soul" on the toy store's giant piano, browsed children's books and watched the demonstration of a magic trick.

The next day, on Friday, Kardashian stopped by the "Today" show. When asked about the dating rumors, she told host Ann Curry, "I completely respect and understand that you have to ask these questions, but as I've said before, Kanye and I have been friends for years," before adding, "You never know what the future holds or where my life will take me."
