Burlesque dancer Dita von Teese recalled, "Devastated. I spent extraordinary times with Amy. She sang for me once for hours, it was the most beautiful and touching thing. A huge loss."

"She definitely brought back a lot of soul to mainstream, and it's really unfortunate to see her go, but I think she'll live on in other artists who will follow [with] the same soul," Darren Criss, member of "Glee" which has used her song on the show, said.

Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones dedicated his radio show and Saturday, July 23 live performance to Amy. "It's a very sad loss of a very good friend I spent many great times with," he said. Meanwhile, American columnist and film critic Richard Roeper pointed out how Amy joins the list of great stars who died at 27. "Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones, Kurt Cobain and now Amy Winehouse: all died at 27," he tweeted.

Amy was found dead in her London apartment on Saturday afternoon. Autopsy result is not due to be released until Sunday and police have asked the public not to speculate that the death is related to drugs which Amy has been battling. Calling it "desperately sad news", Piers Morgan wrote, "Supreme talent, terrible self-destructive addictive personality."
