Adrianne Palicki, the Only Actress Testing for 'Wonder Woman'

Adrianne Palicki traded the failure to get a regular job after "Lone Star" was canceled with a new pilot. The "Friday Night Lights" alumna has been cast as the titular character in NBC's "Wonder Woman" which is being developed by "Ally McBeal" writer David E. Kelley.

In the reboot version of the D.C. comic character, Palicki would juggle Diana Prince and her superhero alter-ego while living in Los Angeles. Beside fighting
crimes, Prince is also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

Kelley is executive producing the project with long-time collaborator Bill D'Elia while "FNL" exec producer Jeff Reiner would direct. It looks like Kelley had developed this project around Palicki. According to Deadline, she was the only actress invited for a screen test.

Lynda Carter played the crime-fighting superhero on the ABC series that ran from 1976 to 1979.
